One dollar from each sale will be donated to various organizations which are working towards finding better treatments, and hopefully a cure for Type 1 Diabetes,also known as Juvenile Onset Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes, also known as Juvenile Onset Diabetes,is an auto immune disease in which one’s own body attacks and kills the beta cells in the pancreas, leaving the pancreas unable to produce insulin, a valuable hormone which we all need to live. People with Type 1 Diabetes must inject insulin, and perform painful finger pokes to check that their blood sugar is at a safe level, multiple times per day, and throughout the night, in order to stay alive. Type 1 Diabetes is neither caused, nor cured by diet. But those of us who live and breathe this auto immune disease every day and night, are hoping that with more research eventually a cure will be found.
Donations will be made at the end of the year, with one dollar from each sale being tallied up, and split between organizations that we feel will best put this money towards good use.
